Hey Doll,
August is National Wellness Month, and it's the perfect time to check in with yourself. As Black women, we're often busy taking care of our families, careers, and everyone around us—but how often do we intentionally take care of ourselves?
Your wellness is more than eating healthy or exercising. It's about protecting your peace, nourishing your body, strengthening your mind, and feeding your soul. When you make your wellness a priority, you show up with more confidence, clarity, energy, and purpose.
This month, challenge yourself to create a routine that honors you. Start your day with prayer, journal your thoughts, move your body, drink your water, set healthy boundaries, and make time to rest without guilt. Remember, consistency—not perfection—is what creates lasting change.
Doll, you can't pour from an empty cup. When you invest in your wellness, you're investing in the woman you're becoming.
Choose YOU. Protect your peace. Build healthy habits.
Because when you care for your mind, body, and soul, you don't just survive. Empower. Elevate. Evolve. 💜

Doll, sometimes you gotta get back focused on YOU.
Life will have you pouring into everybody, handling everything, and showing up everywhere—then one day you realize you’ve been putting yourself on the back burner.
Nah, Doll. It’s time for a shift.
Stop letting old thoughts, old habits, and old situations take up space in a new season.
Romans 12:2
“Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”
Your next level will require a different mindset.
Everything does not deserve your attention. Stop giving your energy to things that keep you distracted, drained, and stuck.
Your goals still matter.
Your peace still matters.
Your growth still matters.
And YOU still matter.
Doll, we are not chasing everything and everybody in this season.
We are renewing our minds.
We are refocusing our energy.
We are moving differently.
And we are becoming better.
You don't have to have it all figured out. Just decide:
I’m not staying where I am.

Mental health is just as important as physical health, yet many people in minority communities face unique barriers that make it difficult to seek support. For many Black women, the expectation to always be "strong" can lead to suffering in silence while carrying the weight of family, work, relationships, and everyday life.
One of the biggest barriers is the stigma surrounding mental health. Many people grow up believing that asking for help is a sign of weakness or that personal struggles should remain private. Financial challenges, limited access to culturally competent therapists, discrimination, and a lack of awareness about mental health services can also prevent people from receiving the care they deserve.
Healing begins when we acknowledge that it is okay not to be okay. Seeking therapy, joining a support group, practicing self-care, journaling, praying, exercising, or talking with someone you trust are all healthy ways to care for your mental well-being. There is strength in asking for help, and healing is possible.
At I Am Her Empowerment, we believe every Black woman deserves a safe space to heal, grow, and thrive. By breaking the stigma and encouraging honest conversations, we can empower one another to prioritize our mental health and become the healthiest version of ourselves.
Remember: You are not alone. Your story matters. Your healing matters. And your mental health deserves the same care and attention as your physical health.

Doll's, let's keep it real. Black women are still overlooked, underestimated, and underrepresented in too many spaces. Whether it's at work, in healthcare, in leadership, or in the media, we often have to work twice as hard just to be seen and heard.
But we are more than statistics and stereotypes. We are leaders, creators, business owners, mothers, professionals, and changemakers. We deserve equal opportunities, respect, and a seat at every table.
Don't let discrimination define your worth. Walk in your purpose, own your voice, and keep showing up. The world needs what you bring.
